Life’s pulse is gauged in the hollows, the intervals between events. If you want to see Tao, you must discern these spaces. This requires leisure, the chance to sit and contemplate, and opportunity to to respond to inner urgings.
If you can find a place to retreat, you can make a life where Tao will flood into you. Out in the woods, or in the mountains, or even in small villages where the times are slow paced and the people sensitive to nature, there is the possibility of knowing the deep and profound. Only when you have the time to accumulate an unshakable belief and faith can you glimpse the Tao in which there is restfulness and a natural sense of what is right.

About Angie Wood

Angie was born in Scarborough in 1954 the 5th Daughter and the 7th child from the family of 12 of Mr & Mrs Robert Arthur Cammish and Pauline Bestwick. Married to James Kennedy Wood known as Ken. They have two daughters Dawn and Siobhain. Angie and Ken started out in the Catering Industry then spending many years (30) as Independent gift and antiques retailers owning various gift and antique shops in Whitby and Scarborough, with the advent of the world wide web this lead to a whole new way of trading, which has led to an extended love and knowledge of antiques and collectables. On looking for something to give life a fuller meaning Angie came across the Art of T'ai Chi Ch’uan and after passing her Teaching Training in the Lee Style of Tai Chi in 2002 teaching weekly classes at the Tai Chi Workshops in Scarborough UK and has founded the web site www.Taichiworkshops.co.uk. Angie spends many hours exploring antique and boot fairs around the UK looking for old and interesting items to sell on her web site www.angiescollections.co.uk. While continuing to study and teach the Art of T’ai Chi keeping an open mind to all the various other health and wellbeing aspects like mindfulness and meditation, for ways on how to make her life and maybe others fit, strong, healthy and wealthy in body, mind and spirit.
